Austin powers Boars to Challenge Cup win

A Jay Austin hat-trick helped see AFC Boars through to the third round of the Steve Norwood Challenge Cup.
He added to goals from Warren Drysdale, Ricky Parkins and James McNulty to give them a 6-3 win over Greenacres II.

Ben Wright (2) and Martin Amilcar scored consolations for home side Greenacres.

Comets were due to be in National Sunday Cup acti
on against Northampton Trotters but rain stopped play.

Gossoms End's game with Wycombe Town did go ahead, but they were beaten 3-2, Colin Gower and Jack Horton finding the net for them.

Also in cup action were Park Rangers.

With the scores 2-2 after 90 minutes their Herts Intermediate Cup game entered extra time but visitors King Pin Utd finished 4-3 winners.

Goals from Lee Franklin (2) and Liam Alderson weren't enough for the home side.

Herald United made it through to the fourth round as well.

Scott Carrington bagged a brace and Lee Butler found the net in the 3-0 defeat of Putterills.

Flaunden scored the same number of goals but conceded six to Onnett.

Tom Sham, Richard Brown and Adam Moulster were on target for the home side.

Cheshunt Corinthians v Berko Rangers, Hatfield Yellow v BSI and DPFC v Mill End Sports Sunday were all called off.

Back to league action and Berko Tornadoes lost for the first time this season in all competitions.

They were beaten 3-2 at home by AC Daniels (Robert Duncan, Stuart Stedman, David Whicker), with Craig Anscomb netting twice for the visitors.

Bovingdon Rangers drew for the first time this season - 2-2 at home to Leverstock Green Centurians. Jed Juster and James Davies scored for the visitors.

The game between Landrovers and Hemel Town Celtic was called off.

Division One and AC Hemel beat Bennetts Hemel to put some daylight between them and bottom side Tring Royals.

Paul Hanafan hit three and Lee Glover one in the 4-2 win.
Mark Gaffer got two for Bennetts Hemel.

A goalfest between Cementaprise and Berko Raiders went the way of the former.

They won 7-5 with goals coming from Louis Charles (3), Keith Lowe (2), Kevin Patterson and David Reader.

Tim Swaby (2), Henry Hadaway, Greg Porter and Tom Cullen all notched for Raiders.

Tring Royals got a good draw at high-flying Old Grey Mare.

Steve Malduca and John Perry got their goals in the 2-2 draw, with Dan Hall netting twice for the home side.

Top of the World kept the pressure up at the top of Division Two with a 3-1 defeat of Adeyfield (Pete Austin).

Jack Copson, James Trill-Green and Wayne Lloyd were their scorers.

Landrovers Reserves hammered Archers Revenge 7-0 while Warners End (Leo Mullett (3), Tommy Venner, Damien Tilley, Simon Barnes) thrashed Castlemead (Andy Grew) 6-1.

The Midland maintained their good form with an 8-0 drubbing of Shaka, Rocco Cordara getting a hat-trick and Rob Whitlock a brace.

Tom Klymkiw, Ben Judge and Adam Penny also scored.

Hemel Abbots won 6-0 at Green Park Rovers while Haven (Scott Harvey) drew 1-1 at home to AMG United (Matt Shrimpton, penalty).

Comets Reserves v Draeger Medical and KLCC AMS v The George were called off.

Danny Fielding scored the first of his four goals inside 25 seconds in The Gade's 10-4 thrashing of Bennetts End Athletic in Division Four.

Severiano Pearce (2), Lee Talbot, Mark Sanderson, Ben Tillyer and James Durrant also netted, with David McConnon's treble and Martin Sellman's stike little consolation for Athletic.

Elsewhere The Queens Head (Brad Tyson, Alex Charge, Duncan Allen, Luke Biddle) stay top after a 4-1 win at The Old Bell Gate (Ben Ainsworth) and AC Grapes are still fourth following their 1-0 defeat of Palace, Danny Donovan scoring the game's only goal.

Berko Tornadoes Reserves (Dave Bayliss (2)) and The Old Bell (Reese Hughes, Aaron Honey) shared the points after a 2-2 draw while Leverstock Green Centurians Reserves' game with Inter Hemel Sunday was rained off.
