Women cyclists from all over Hertfordshire took part in a mass Christmas ride-in, converging on the Inn on the Park café in St Albans.

The ‘Christmas Jingle’ event not only helped to usher in the festive season, it also celebrated British Cycling’s Breeze programme of women-only cycle rides in Hertfordshire.

Rides varying in length and level took place simultaneously, each beginning from a different location in the county and all concluding at the Inn on the Park.

All the cyclists taking part received a Breeze goodie bag and there were some additional awards to recognise Breeze Champions who have gone the extra mile this year by organising more rides and getting more women cycling.

Peter Cox, of British Cycling: said: “Breeze has been so successful and popular in Hertfordshire and we have some really great women helping to encourage others onto their bikes.”
