Thieves try stealing chainsaws and cash in attempted burglary

Two men who tried to steal two chainsaws and a cash till from a garden centre are being hunted by police.

The incident happened at Wyevale Garden Centre on Bulbourne Road, Tring, between 5.40am and 5.45am today (Thursday, August 11).

Two suspects smashed the glass doors at the garden centre’s exit before attempting to steal a till and two boxed chainsaws.

They were unsuccessful and ran off in an unknown direction.

The first suspect is a man with short curly hair and a beard. He was wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and white trainers.

The second suspect is also a man, who was wearing a dark navy jumper, black trousers and black shoes.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward, in particular any motorists who have dashcam footage showing the entrance to the garden centre between 5.30am and 5.50am.
