The Real Edition follows Jay Z's footsteps

An up-and-coming alternative hip-hop artist from Hemel is celebrating his musical journey so far after finishing his second album.

Muller Muchunga, 21, is The Real Edition – T.R.E. for short – and over the past two years, he has been working on his second album Born To Be Great – all while studying and working part-time.

The lead single, Millionaire Mindstate, was released on Soundcloud last month and has gained a lot of positive attention.

The former Astley Cooper School student, who counts artist Jay Z among his influences, said: “This album is by far my best body of work and I’ll go as far as saying I surprised myself, given everything that was going on around the album.

“You can hear the growth in my work, which I feel is vital for growth as an artist.”

Muller says the album ‘gives a detailed view of a young aspiring and ambitious entrepreneur, and the obstacles faced with that’.

The young musician, who lives in Chaulden, studied the business to give him a better understanding of the industry and after passing his course, he set up his own record label – Iconic Record – all funded by his part-time job.
