Tring Brewery scooped yet another award at this year’s St Albans Beer and Cider Festival.

Its Tea Kettle Stout took the East region’s bronze award for bottled and dark cask ales, as well as being crowned Champion Beer of Hertfordshire, as judged by the Society of Independent Brewers and the Campaign for Real Ale.

Spokesman Ben Marston said: “Naturally we were a little disappointed not to have achieved gold or silver standards as in previous years but this is the first time we have entered Tea Kettle Stout into the competitions, so really we should be happy with the results, especially given the increasing number of brewers in the region.

“We are also hugely impressed that over 2,800 pints of the beer drunk at the festival was brewed by us.”
