Teenager airlifted to hospital after collision

A teenage girl has been airlifted to hospital after being run over during a collision in Adeyfield this morning.

Police were called at 8.27am today (Thursday) to Midland Road to reports that a pedestrian had been involved in a collision, which involved two vehicles - a silver Renault Megan and a blue Nissan Micra.

A teenage girl was trapped under one of the vehicles and firefighters worked to free her. The road was closed at Adeyfield Road, but was open again by 10am.

The girl was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital with serious injuries.
