The construction firm carrying out the Marlowes transformation is moving out of its site office early - to make way for a new town centre cafe and deli.

Greenford’s site office has been based in Hemel Hempstead town centre since Dacorum Borough Council’s Hemel Evolution regeneration work began a year ago.

But they are making way for Cappuccio Coffee House & Italian Deli, which will open in November.

Greenford communications officer Tara Maguire, who is a familiar face with local businesses, said: “We’ve really enjoyed being based in the heart of the regeneration where anyone could pop in to ask questions.

“But we’re really happy to make way for a new cafe – after all, turning Marlowes into a modern social hub was always the council’s intention.”

Hemel man Jonathan Birnie, who is joint owner of the business, said: “We spent months researching sites and decided the Marlowes regeneration presented us with a great opportunity.

“We think people in Hemel Hempstead will wholeheartedly embrace the chance to sample Cappuccio’s authentic southern Italian produce.”

Cappuccio’s is now looking to recruit experienced members of staff - email jonathan.birnie@hotmail.co.uk
