This month has seen Dacorum’s new town centre manager Shelly Ford take up her post.
Shelly said: “I’m delighted to be joining Dacorum at such an exciting time for our town centre.
“I’m really looking forward to working with businesses, other organisations and partners to develop our town centre into a vibrant places where people want to live, work and enjoy – a place that people can be really proud of.
Did you know there are more than 200 different types of apprenticeships available nationally, offering over 1,200 job roles? Over 80 per cent of employers who take on an apprentice agree they make their workplace more productive.
Two grants are available – the National Apprenticeship Service Wage Incentive grant of £1,500 applies to employers with fewer than 1,000 employees who someone aged 16 to 24, and a council grant of £1,200 is also on offer. Saturday, July 19 will see an Old Town launch event from 1pm to 6pm.
This is linked to the folk festival which is being held on the same day at the new look Old Town Hall and will feature live bands, market stalls, children’s entertainers and much more.
