VIDEO: Hemel trio bring Behemoth back to Robot Wars
That’s right, RobotWars is back on our screens – and so is the mighty Behemoth, which has been a staple of the TV and live versions of the show since it first appeared in series two back in 1998.
The team behindthe mighy Behemoth are 39-year-old computer-aided design engineer Ant Pritchard, 35-year-old IT manager Kane Aston, and 27-year-old automotive engineer Kevin Cleasby.

All three men are from Hemel, and group captain Ant was excited to be back on our screens.
“What I really enjoy is the engineering side, creating something out of nothing and then putting it into practice.
“You have to come up with ideas of how to beat the other robots, and how to stop them beating you.”
The new series of Robot Wars was filmed in a purpose-built fighting arena in Glasgow, where 40 teams of amateur robot-fighting enthusiasts battled it out over six episodes to become Robot Wars Champion.

While Behemoth fell just shot of winning Sunday’s episode the team could still appear in the final as a wildcard selection, having been on every series to date for the last 18 years.
Ant added: “Behemoth is still the same idea and dimensionally it’s the same, with pretty much the same system.
“But otherwise we’ve contantly tried to refine and improve Behemoth to make it the best it can be.”
