Two people were taken to hospital after a woman was involved in an collision with a motorbike yesterday.

Police were called at 12.44pm by the ambulance service, who had sent a rapid response vehicle, two ambulances and an ambulance officer to the scene of the accident.

The male driver of the black Yamaha XT motorbike and the pedestrian – a woman in her 60s – were both taken to Watford General Hospital for treatment.

Neither of those involved are thought to be seriously injured.

The main road through the village was closed near the junction with Church Lane while police organised the recovery of the vehicle.
