Tring School celebrates '˜outstanding' A Level and BTEC results

Nearly half of students at Tring School achieved A*, A and distinction grades today - an increase of 17 per cent from the previous year.

Head girl Carys Reid-Davies is celebrating two A* and an A, and will be going to the University of Leeds to study film, photography and media.

Tring School boast a multitude of success stories, including James Child who is expecting to go to Cambridge University to study veterinary medicine having received one A* and three As. Lauren Renshaw walked away with two A*s and one A, and Jack Murphy achieved three A*s.

Oliver Ayling and Emily Durrant both achieved one A* and two As. Meanwhile Olivia Dawson and Victoria Gibbons both achieved three As.

Sue Collings, headteacher, said: “These fantastic results are a testament to the hard work and determination of our students, who continue to embrace every learning opportunity.

“The ongoing commitment of our staff, parents and governors also plays an important part in supporting our pupils to achieve excellence and I would like to thank them for their continued efforts.

“We wish our A-level students all the very best as they take their next steps in life.”
