The organisers of Tring’s summer music festival have released a revised site map which reveals the addition of a second cocktail bar and Pimms tent for this July’s event.
Chilfest bosses say they have learnt ‘many lessons’ from last year’s event in which poor bar service caused havoc among music lovers.
There will be a total of three main bars, two cocktail bars and the Pimms tent in the plus two water stations at this year’s festival, which is sponsored by Carlsberg and will be held over three days as opposed to last year’s two.
Chilfest’s Belinda Rose-Brown reminded festival-goers: “We are using a different bar company this year and will have at least 60 more staff serving alcohol than in 2013 with many staff dedicated to pouring drinks.
“Many lessons have been learnt and we can guarantee that there will be no bar issues this year.”
This year’s Chilfest takes place in Pendley Meadow from July 4 to 6. Boomtown Rats and Jason Donovan head up the 80s-themed Friday and Saturday nights, while X Factor contestants Union J headline Sunday’s pop afternoon.
