Police were called to a nasty accident between two cars on a roundabout this morning.

An officer arrived at the junction between Boxted Road and Galley Hill, Hemel Hempstead, just after 9am to help the people who had been driving the vehicles.

He discovered a black Vauxhall Corsa and a light blue Audi A6 up against each other and blocking half of Boxted Road. Both cars had suffered significant front-end damage.

The Peugeot’s front, passenger-side wheel had been bent inwards and part of its bumper was hanging off.

It is not known what caused the collision at this stage, or whether the motorists in either of the cars suffered injuries.

The East of England Ambulance Service treated a woman in her 20s for minor injuries to her shoulder and leg before leaving her in the care of her family.
