One of Britain’s biggest TV companies is looking for households to take part in a new ‘try before you buy’ ITV1 prime-time show.

Endemol, the firm behind Big Brother and Deal or no Deal, is casting its net over Dacorum in a bid to find a household that is lively and opinionated for new show The Testers.

The TV giants want six households to test out new products and give their opinions on them.

A spokesman for Endemol said: “We are looking for outgoing, opinionated groups and families who want to try out a range of gadgets, gizmos and general gear and then tell our audience what they really think of them.”

In a rallying call to would-be reality TV stars, the company asks: “Do you love trying out new stuff? Does your partner NEVER read the instructions? If you and the people you live with fancy trying out brand new products and telling the nation what you think – we want to hear from you now.”

Groups of friends, families, flat shares and people of all ages are welcome to apply. Applicants must be aged 18 years and over (applications must be made by a consenting adult/guardian).
