If you’re going to go for a walk, this is the way to do it

Bring your friends and walk for DENS

The glorious spring weather is in a full bloom and what better way to enjoy it than to have a walk and explore some beautiful parts of the Chilterns.

Just imagine a stroll along the canal from Berkhamsted before gently climbing across fields to the village of Aldbury. Getting back to Berkhamsted may be a little more strenuous but takes you through the grounds of Ashridge, watching out for bluebells and deer, before dropping down the side of Berkhamsted Common and returning to the town. On Saturday May 17 people will be doing just this as they join in the DENS Sponsored Walk for its fifth year. Last year a total of over £3,500 was raised for the charity. In a bid to better that amount, this year the Bricklayers Arms in Flaunden has donated a voucher for lunch or dinner for two to the person who raises most money. To find out more about the walk visit www.dens.org.uk or if you can’t take part sponsor one of the walkers by going to www.justiving.com/dens
