If it's a jungle out there, call Green Aiders

Older, vulnerable and disabled Dacorum residents can treat their gardens to a free one-off gardening visit from the Green Aiders, thanks to the community charity Groundwork Herts funded by Herts County Council.

The Green Aiders schme, which aims to help people take back control of their garden, is a free service for eligible residents.

Through a one-off visit, dedicated volunteers and friendly Groundwork staff get gardens back under control and make them more manageable, safer and more pleasant to spend time in.

Clearing overgrown gardens also makes it harder for criminals or fraudsters to identify occupants as potential targets.

One Dacorum resident said: “Thank you so much for doing this for me.

“When I came home and opened my back door it was wonderful.”
