A piece of history will be played out on stage in Berkhamsted, in a true love story entwined with the tale of the Tolpuddle Martyrs.

Fresh from a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe, the curtain goes up on We Will Be Free on April 2 at Berkhamsted’s Espinosa Centre.

The play follows the life of George and Betsy Loveless and the struggle of six farm labourers who stood up for their beliefs in the sleepy village of Tolpuddle.
