Helicopter search over village as attempted burglary suspects flee police

Four men made a dash from police after they were found attempting to break into a house in Abbots Langley last night.

Officers were called to South Way shortly before 11.30pm following reports that the group – all described as white and of skinny build – were acting suspiciously at the rear of a property.

A search involviing a police dog unit and helicopter was launched, but none of the suspects were found.

Two of the men are described as being in their late teens or early 20s and around 5ft 11ins tall. One was wearing a grey hooded top and the other was wearing a dark hooded top.

Anyone with any information about the incident is urged to call police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting the reference ISR 875 of June 23.
