Matthew Charles Peppiatt, 40, Mortimer Hill, Tring. Stole alcohol and food worth £36.07 from Tesco Express in Berkhamsted on March 13. Fined £73, £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

Martin Edward Horsfall, 29, Masons Road, Hemel Hempstead. Stole two bottles of champagne worth £66.98 on March 2 and meat worth £22 on March 24 from The Co-Operative in Hemel Hempstead, food worth £15 from T. J. Huges in Bennetts Gate, Hemel Hempstead, on March 25, and meat worth £45.79 from Aldi, Hemel Hempstead, on March 28. Sent to prison for four weeks, plus ordered to pay £149.77 in compensation.

Kelly Smith, 34, Market Oak Lane, Hemel Hempstead. Failed to tell Department for Work and Pensions that she was working to try and gain Income Support in Hemel Hempstead on September 15, 2012, and September 23, 2011. Must complete 20-day woman-specific activity by and attend supervision appointments when required until April 2, 2015, plus £85 costs and £60 victim surcharge.

Daniel Kiff, 40, High Street, Redbourn. Faked signature to gain Carers Allowance in Redbourn on August 2, 2012, and February 25, 2012. Sent to prison for 15 weeks, suspended for 24 months. Must complete 40-day general offending behaviour programme and attend supervision appointments for 24 months, plus £85 costs and £80 victim surcharge.

Maxie David Ford, Windmill Road, Hemel Hempstead. Kept a vehicle without insurance in Hemel Hempstead on September 26. Fined £200, £110 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

Pamela Janice Couchman, 50, Tassell Hall, Redbourn. Failed to provide a specimen of breath for analysis at Hatfield Police Station on March 26, Fined £300, £85 costs, £30 victim surcharge and banned from driving for 18 months - to be reduced by 18 weeks if a course is completed by April 4.
