Class works out special celebration for keep fit fan Anne on her 95th birthday

Annie Love has been regularly attending her Exercise for Health class in Potten End since 1986 and has hardly missed a session.

Last Thursday, Anne celebrated her 95th birthday, on the same day as The Queen’s 90th birthday. So class instructor Sally Titchiner and the other class members planned a special celebration after the exercise session.

In honour of the occasion, class members wore red, white and blue outfits with crowns and enjoyed party nibbles, a birthday cake and drinks, while Anne received gifts and cards.

Anne was one of the people who originally approached Dacorum Borough Council’s community and leisure department over 30 years ago about starting an exercise class in the village.

The class has run ever since and is currently part of the Sportspace Sports Development older adult community programme.

The class takes place from 10am to noon on Thursdays at Potten End Village Hall.
