Charity will give your dog a free heath MOT

Tails will wag when the PDSA's pet wellbeing tour rolls into Hemel next week, offering free health MOTs for dogs.

PDSA vet nurses will be on board the charity’s PetCheck vehicles, which travel the UK carrying out free health checks, microchipping and providing pet care advice.

The first event takes place from 10am to 5pm at Gadebridge Lane car park, off Leighton Buzzard Road, as part of the Fun Dog Show.

PDSA vet nurse Melissa Teatum will run through the PDSA’s ‘PetWise MOT’ for each dog, which assesses diet, environment, companionship, behaviour and health.

Each pet is given a score and a personalised action plan to help owners improve their pet’s health and happiness.

Additional services including nail clipping and ear cleaning are also available free of charge although donations are welcome.

Dacorum Borough Council will be offering free microchipping for council tenants, while others can get microchips for just £10.
