Dacorum Borough Council’s Youth Tenant Involvement team kick-started the campaign on February 17, with local youngsters teaming up with council officers to clean their neighbourhood together.

The biggest litter pick saw 540 people, with children from as young as three, along with staff and parents from Hobbs Hill Wood Primary School in Hemel clearing up their school grounds and the surrounding streets.

Great Gaddesden parish’s Walk, Talk, Pick event collected an amazing 100 bags of rubbish.

The final litter picks took place on April 24 and the local McDonald’s team were ‘lovin’ it’ when they brought together a team of businesspeople to blitz the streets of Bourne End.

Dacorum Borough Council thanked everyone who took part in Clean for the Queen.
