A Potten End brewery has celebrated a decade of beer-making with a major expansion programme.
Red Squirrel Brewing Co, which is based in Boxted Farm, has now been relaunched after a month-long hiatus from making beer.
The brewery now has a new logo, and all the vans and brewery interior have been branded in keeping with this
The brewery was officially reopened by local MP Mike Penning recently at an event for loyal customers.
Managing Director Greg Blesson said: “We are really pleased with the new brewing kit and new look for the company.
“In an ever more crowded industry, we are taking steps to ensure that we remain an exciting and relevant brewery, with consistently excellent beers to suit every taste.”
While the brewery has been temporarily out of action it hasn’t stopped Red Squirrel beers from getting about and winning accolades.
Red Dawn Mild (3.7%) received bronze in its category at the National business competition at the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) Beer X event in mid-March.
The same week London Porter (5.0%) was judged bronze in its category in the 2013/14 London and South East Area Champion Beer of Britain competition.
The re-opening of the brewery, which is based in Potten End, was a perfect opportunity for local Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) officials to give out the award.
