A man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries following a road traffic incident in the early hours of Friday morning.

The incident occurred at 3.40am on the M1 near Hemel Hempstead and resulted in a car rolling over.

Doctor Andy Lindsay and paramedic Dan Read attended in the Magpas rapid response BMW, following a road traffic incident which resulted in a car rolling over.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was assessed at the scene, with the Magpas team working alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew to provide the patient with pain relief, before accompanying him to St Mary’s Hospital in London by land ambulance.

On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious condition.

Teams from the police, fire service and rescue services were also on the scene.
