A motorist suffered fractures to his cheekbone during a road rage incident.

At 6.30pm on Monday (December 14) a man driving a Renault Clio and two men in a black Vauxhall Corsa got into an argument in Malvern Way, Hemel Hempstead.

After the verbal altercation, it is claimed one of the men – in his 50s – was assaulted and sustained several fractures to his cheekbone.

This attack followed an earlier road rage incident between the drivers close to the junction of Mendip Way.

A 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, both from Hemel Hempstead, have been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail until February 1.

But now police are looking for witnesses to help with their investigation.

Det Con Andy Roseblade, from the Hemel Hempstead Local Crime Unit, said: “This happened at a time when it is likely there would have been other motorists around and I’d like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident itself or what took place before it.

“Anyone who saw any part of what happened should call me on non-emergency number 101.”
