Man rushed to hospital

A pensioner was rushed to hospital yesterday evening (Tuesday, October 6) after he collapsed on a busy High Street.

The incident happened in Tring at around 5.10pm.

The East of England Ambulance Service sent an ambulance crew and a rapid response crew to the scene, while Herts Police closed the road from the Akeman Street junction while paramedics attended.

The man, who is believed to be in his 70s, was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital where the ambulance crew say they left him in a ‘critical condition’.

The Bucks Healthcare NHS Trust is unable to give an update on his condition currently.
