Abbot's Hill School, Year 3 children visit St Albans Museum Education Centre.

Year 3 pupils travelled back 2,000 years when they visited St Albans Museum Education Centre.

The girls took part in a Roman cookery workshop to make dishes from Roman times and a ‘blanket dig’ to uncover Roman artefacts.

They also participated in a role play in the abbey, which recreated the story of St Alban and the birth of Roman Verulamium.

Headteacher Kerstin Lewis said: “This type of visit helps bring history to life and the pupils really enjoyed the day.”
