Writing tips shared at workshop

Best-selling author Jane Bidder passed on some tricks of the trade to budding writers during a free workshop.

Books by the Berkhamsted author, who writes under the pseudonym of Sophie King, include The School Run, Second Time Lucky and Mums@Home.

She was at Corbetts Book Shop in High Street, Tring, on Saturday (November 1) to host a free creative writing workshop.

Around 10 people turned out to pick up some top tips to help with their own writing.

Book shop manager Pam King said: "There has been a call for creative writing sessions in Tring.

"We had two last year and we decided to hold another one. It was incredibly successful."

In fact the workshop was such a hit that Mrs King is considering holding regular writing sessions in the future.

Jane Bidder's latest book The Supper Club is currently on sale at the bookshop.
