Woman cut from car after collision with van

FIREFIGHTERS had to cut the roof off a car to free an injured woman after a road accident.

They rushed to the scene in single-track country road Bedmond Lane, Bedmond, after the vehicle collided with a van at about 1pm today (Wednesday).

Ambulance crews from Garston and Hemel Hempstead rushed to the scene and the female passenger in the car, thought to be in her 50s, was taken to Watford General.

The collision was outside The Holly Bush pub in Potters Crouch, said ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson.
