Warning: park in well-lit areas or a garage
Crime
Car part thieves have struck again in Hemel Hempstead.
On Wednesday, October 10, a catalytic converter was snatched from a silver Ford Galaxy that was parked in Northridge Way between 3pm and 7pm.
Then, between 6pm on Friday, October 12, and 7pm the following day, the spare tyre was taken from underneath a grey Ford Transit that was left in Long Chaulden.
Police are urging motorists to park their vehicles in a garage or in busy well-lit areas where possible and keep an eye out for people working under cars.
Property marking kits are also available to make it easier to trace a stolen part back to your vehicle if recovered.
Anyone with information can contact Herts Constabulary by dialing 101 but always dial 999 if it is an emergency.
