Wanted: one ambulance
What better way to travel a 4000 mile hospital fundraiser then in a second hand ambulance?
Nic Leon and Gary Chance, from Bovingdon, will be travelling from London to Africa in the new year in a bid to raise 5,000 for a premature baby unit.
The pair are desperate to get hold of an ambulance to complete the Plymouth to Banjul challenge, that sees hundreds of teams take to the road in old cars for charity.
Nic said: "The Gambian Government are in need of ambulances and we would hand it over straight to them.
"Also we will be able to transport more t-shirts and other gifts down to Africa.
"It will also be a bed for the night on the way down."
The dad of two was inspired to raise money for the neo-natal unit at Luton and Dunstable Hospital after his daughter was born three months prematurely.
He and Gary will also be forging links with the Georgetown Primary School in the Gambia on behalf of Bovingdon Primary School.
If you have any ideas on how Nic and Gary can get hold of an ambulance for their fundraiser, or to find out how else you could lend your support, please get in touch via www.lionsofchance.co.uk
