Video: Get fleeced at the races!
Sheep that have been in training since April will compete again each other in daily farm races.
At Mead Open Farm three new sheep will take to the track in front of crowds on Saturday (May 29).
Spokesman for the children's farm Anita Waddell said: "It's one of the most popular activities at the farm and it is very fun and entertaining.
"It's a family attraction that lets the whole family participate in cheering on a different sheep."
The new sheep named Shearers Brook, the Duck Pond Turn and The Woolly Chair are from neighbouring farms in Leighton Buzzard.
'The Lamb Nationals' use seven specially trained sheep to race around a track with miniature teddy jockeys attached to their backs and an individual racing colour.
At 1pm everyday children get the chance to guess the winning sheep for the chance to take home a golden badge.
The farm in Billington, near Hemel Hempstead is one of the largest in the country and attracts thousands of people throughout the year.
Racing will be on until the end of October. More information can be found at www.meadopenfarm.co.uk
