TV dragons praise mum's business

A brave Hemel mum who pitched her ideas to the stars of Dragons Den could see her business boom as a result.

Lisa Penn, 39, of Leverstock Green in Hemel Hempstead, appeared on a new version of the popular BBC TV show on Wednesday, September 16.

Dragons Shaf Rasul and Julie Meyer praised her product, The Cosy Shopper, but gave the famous 'I'm out' verdict on her bid for a 20,000 investment.

Mrs Penn, who appeared on the show with husband Matthew, 38, said: "The dragons loved the product but they weren't prepared to invest because of how much time we spend working on the business.

"They were looking for us to dedicate 50 hours a week each, but while the children are young we like running it at our own pace."

The couple may not have received a cash injection from the dragons, but they did walk away with an invaluable contact.

More information and the chance to buy The Cosy Shopper can be found at www.thecosyshopper.co.uk.
