A pub hosted two Christmas parties for little ones to help raise cash for a determined mum taking on an Icelandic trek for charity.

Mum of two Emma Hart will be heading off next summer for the challenge to raise cash for the Haemophilia Society because her sons Samuel, seven, and Oliver, four, suffer with the blood condition.

To help boost funds Emma, of Chaulden, Hemel Hempstead, has been hosting fundraising events.

On Saturday, her local pub the Tudor Rose got into the festive spirit with fun for all the family. There was even a visit by Santa who handed out gifts.

Emma said: “The children loved all the dancing and games and we managed to raise just over £800.

“We are absolutely delighted about this and all the money is going towards the fundraising for my trek to Iceland in July.

“Without the help of Ade and Mary Ward at the Tudor Rose none of this would be possible. They are the most amazing people I have ever met.”

Emma is now planning her next fundraising event in partnership with the pub, which will be a quiz night and disco.
