Train station death

A MAN has died after being hit by a train in Cheddington Train Station at about 10.20am today.

All railway lines going through it were immediately closed - but had reopened by 11.35am.

British Transport Police are investigating.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Officers from BTP and Thames Valley Police attended the incident.

“Paramedics from South Central Ambulance service also attended but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Officers are currently working to identify the person and inform their family.

“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”

The train involved was the 9.46am London Euston to Crewe service.
