Time to renew your bus pass?

editorial image

The team which administers the national bus pass scheme for the over 60s and disabled passengers has issued an early alert about the need to renew permits.

There are 180,000 bus passes issued in Herts and most will expire in March next year.

Herts County Council runs the scheme and County Hall staff don’t want people to leave it to the last minute.

You can renew your bus pass online – it can be done at your local library if you don’t have a computer – or by filling in a hard copy form.

A new pass should be issued within 20 working days of the application, and it will be valid for five years.

To find out more visit www.hertsdirect.org/buspass or call 0300 123 4050
