Staff are ditching the razor for a good cause

Staff at the Marlowes Shopping Centre will be throwing away their razors next month to take part in the national fundraiser Movember.

Men will be growing a moustache for the 30 days of November whilst raising funds and much needed awareness around often ignored men’s health issues.

Lady workers at the centre will also be getting involved by becoming ‘Mo Sistas’ and offering their support and encouragement.

Centre marketing manager Carly Cullen said: “Movember is such a visible campaign so it’s great for raising awareness of men’s health. Occurrences of prostate cancer in men are comparable to the rates of breast cancer in women, yet men don’t talk openly about the subject so we’re excited to be involved and help create some awareness.”
