School rewards sports stars

A school's sports talent were presented with awards by a World Cup referee.

Guest speaker Graham Poll celebrated a successful year of sport with pupils of Tring School on July 9.

Every team captain of the school's sports teams received an award and each nominated a member of their team to receive recognition for commitment, dedication and enthusiasm.

Outside School Sporting Achievement awards were also given and went to James Fryer and Imogen Davies, gymnasts who have competed in club, county, regional and national competitions.

The awards to the captains of each team were as follows:

Hockey captains: Amy Moxon, Amy Chaplin, Vicky Fallan, Ella Whitehead.

Captains' awards: Meg Bright, Alice Beeny, Livy Vize, Holy Bilcock.

Most improved player (MIP): Milly Jones

Netball captains: Beth Ashley Roberts, Molly Mc Munn, Milly Jones, Daisy Goldhagen.

Captains' awards: katherine McIntosh, Steph Smith,Jo Davis, Amy Seers.

Most improved player: Aida Finn

Girls football captains: Alice Beeny, Daisy Goldhagen.

Captains' awards: Zoe Harrison, Rosie Rance

Most improved player: Molly Mc Munn

Girls basketball captains: Olivia Russell, Katie Turnbull, Lucy Smith.

Captains' awards: Amy Chaplin, Laura Roberts,Aliesha Carter

Most improved player: Emma Harvey

Rounders captains: Zoe Harrison, Molly Mc Munn, Natalie Campbell, Ella Whitehead.

Captains' awards: Lauren Hatch, Abi Winn, Laura sandy, Amie Moores.

Most improved player: Ella Higby.

Rugby captains: Robbie Cogger, Dan Peplow, Jonny Preston, Alex Harrison.

Captains' awards: Ben Pratt, Ben Murcott, Jay Grocock, Mike Dell.

Most improved player: Henry Stubbs.

Football captains: Louie Burn, James Cullimore, Mathew Sharp, Billy Jeffery.

Cricket captains: James Gurnett, Robbie Johnson, Sam Bastin, Sam Shearman.

Tennis captains: Joe Wheatley, Charlie Elliot.

Sports Leaders awards: Sarah Pritchard, Jenny Hyde, Ella Whitehead, Will Hammond.

Outside Sports Achievement awards: James Fryer, Imogen Davis.

Sports stars of the year: Robbie Cogger, Ben Murcott, Will Wood, Rory Criddle, Zoe Harrison, Molly McMunn, Vicky Fallan, Daisy Goldhagen.

Teams of the year: U16 Boys Athletics, Year 9 Hockey.

Athletics: Josh Frewin, Kieren Fallan, Daisy Lambert, Phillipa Bryant.

Swimming: Sarah Pritchard, Tom Kaye.

Cross Country: Jonty Wager Leigh, Ellie Jones.
