Samantha will take charge at hospital

The trust that runs Hemel Hempstead’s Urgent Care Centre and Watford General Hospital has appointed a new boss.

Samantha Jones takes up the position of chief executive with West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust on February 4. She replaces Jan Filochowski, who left in October to take up the same position at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Ms Jones was previously the chief executive of Epsom and St Helier Hospitals NHS Trust before taking up her current role as a director of Care UK.

She said: “I look forward to working with the thousands of dedicated professionals in the trust and am confident that together we will continue to provide quality care and the best possible experience.”
