Samantha Barnes created her own wig company, Tangled Wigs.

A woman who lost her hair as a child is launching her own brand of fashionable wigs for others in a similar position.

Samantha Barnes grew up in Bovingdon and developed alopecia at the age of five. She is now launching her business, Tangled Wigs, to help bring confidence and style to women who have also lost their hair to the condition or through chemotherapy.

She said: “I think my personal experience is especially important for people who are new to hair loss.

“This is what I always wanted to do, and it is such an exciting challenge.”

Samantha’s launch event Hit Refresh takes place at the Old Town Hall on Thursday, March 21 at 7pm. Proceeds will be donated to Alopecia Awareness and Breast Cancer Awareness UK.

Email samantha@tangled-wigs.com to buy tickets at £2 each.
