Police appeal after Hemel Hempstead knife-point robbery
A man was threatened with a knife and robbed of his wallet – which contained more than £100 in cash – in a Hemel Hempstead alleyway today (Thursday).
The 36-year-old was walking between Prince Park and Green End Road towards the town centre when he was approached from behind by two Asian men at about 10.30am.
One of them threatened him and demanded he hand over his wallet. He gave it to them and the pair ran off towards Prince Park.
The first man is described as aged 19 or 20, clean shaven with short Afro hair that had a zig-zag shaved into its left-hand side.
He was between 5ft 10in and 6ft tall, of stocky build and wearing a black, woolly hoody with a maroon T-shirt underneath, mid to dark blue jeans and black shoes or trainers.
The second was in his late teens, about 5ft 5in tall, skinny, with short hair that was gelled forward and a gold hoop earring.
He was wearing a grey or silver Stone Island jacket with a zip on the front and tag on the right sleeve, beige or brown skinny jeans with elasticated bottoms and white trainers.
If you saw anything, phone assistant investigator Lisa Walsh on 101, quoting crime reference D1/12/6038, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
