Pair deny murdering Billy in town centre stabbing

TWO teenagers will stand trial for the murder of Billy Dove.

Charlie Samson, 18, and a 17 year old, who can’t be identified for legal reasons, appeared at St Albans Crown Court today (Monday).

The pair were there for a plea and case management hearing before Judge Steven Gullick who will hear the trial later this year.

Billy, who was 21, died after being stabbed in Market Square, Hemel Hempstead, in the early hours of November 6 last year.

Samson, of St Agnells Lane, Hemel Hempstead, and the 17 year old both pleaded not guilty to a charge of murder. They also denied a second charge of affray.

The pair were remanded in custody after being told their trial will begin on May 8.
