New health group to help people live longer

A new health strategy hopes to see people living longer and better.

The Herts Health and Wellbeing Board has come up with nine priorities that focus on mental health, dementia, learning disabilities and carers, along with reducing the harm caused by smoking and drinking.

Officials from councils, NHS and Healthwatch – a new consumer champion for health and social care – make up the board.
