Hemel Hempstead’s bandstand will be brought to life with music on Sunday to celebrate the end of a summer of sport and culture.
The best of local talent will be showcased in Marlowes as part of the London 2012 Festival closing celebrations.
There will be bands, groups, choirs and individual musicians taking to the stage from 1pm to 5pm.
The event line up will include, Herts Inclusive Theatre, Paul Lyalls, Changeling/Pippa Chapman & Vinnie Gibbons, Antipoet, Tom Craven (& The Chapter), Jean, Soulmates, Lobby Ludd, Sweetcornbread/Bob, Dave Wallis, The Odd Eccentric, Phil, Caution Horses, Covert, Dodobones and Rock Remedy.
The musical extravaganza will be one of hundreds of outdoor concerts taking place simultaneously in bandstands and outdoor performance spaces across the UK to make up the Bandstand Marathon - the official closing event of the London 2012 Festival.
It is being put on by not for profit arts organisation Superact and Making Music.
