Man forced into van, stripped naked and then dumped
A MAN was bundled into a van as he left a town centre pub, stripped naked and then dumped in the street.
The 21-year-old victim was left with nothing but his socks on when he was abandoned.
He had just left the Full House pub in Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead, when he was set upon in nearby Combe Street just before midnight on Wednesday, December 21.
Offenders forced him into a white transit van before leaving him a short while later outside the Red Lion pub in Leighton Buzzard Road.
The young man then went to a nearby house where householders lent him clothes and called police.
Detective Sergeant Gill Fawcett said: “Although this happened almost four weeks ago, and we have arrested four males in connection with this incident, we are still keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident take place in Combe street, or the victim being dropped off at the Red Lion pub a short time after.
“Any information at all, no matter how small or insignificant you think it may be could help our investigation.”

Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 11:19 PMAs always, leaving it too long for the story to come out and helping catching the culprits. I know it's not the papers fault but the police should issue the story more quickly as peoples memory will be more fresh then four weeks down the line.
