Emergency crews are at Apsley Station in Hemel Hempstead dealing with a fatality after a man was hit by a train.

Paramedics were called to the station in London Road just after 3.45pm today (Monday), where the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the man’s identity and inform his family.”

Train services between London Euston and Northampton may be subject to delay and cancellation, say London Midland.

First Capital Connect and Virgin services are taking passengers and travellers can also use their tickets on Chiltern services.
