Lamppost down after crash

A lamppost was left lying flat on the pavement after a two-car crash.

The accident happened this morning (Wednesday) at about 7.20am in Hemel Hempstead.

Police said a Ford Puma and a Ford Galaxy collided at the roundabout junction of Queensway and Marlowes.

A Herts Police spokesman said the Puma ended up on the pavement and a lamppost - a zebra crossing post - was felled.

Road closures were put in place and recovery vehicles were called to the scene.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said no one was hurt in the crash.
