Fundraisers will be setting their sights on Tring this summer as part of a brand new canal endurance event.
Organised by Action Challenge – a company that sets up active charity events all over the world – the two-day Grand Union Challenge offers participants the chance to walk, jog or run either 25k, 50k or 100k and raise money for their chosen charity.
The route will start in London’s Maida Vale before snaking along the country’s hidden green corridor and out towards the Chilterns.
Tring will provide the 75km rest stop for weary challengers, before they make their to the finish line in Bletchley.
Action Challenge’s UK events advertising and marketing Tamsin French said: “As this is a sporting event we hope to encourage all of those aiming to get fit again and encourage sport in the new year.”
