Hemel mum to appear on Dragons Den
A mum who pitched her business idea to the stars of Dragons Den will appear on the hit TV show tonight (Wednesday, September 16).
Hemel Hempstead mum of two Lisa Penn designed and sells The Cosy Shopper, a soft blanket made to fit over grubby shopping trolley seats.
Her online pitch to the BBC dragons for 20,000 has made it into a new version of the popular TV show.
Viewers will get to find out what online dragons Shaf Rasul and Julie Meyer made of her bid tonight on BBC2.
Mrs Penn launched the product in 2007, inspired by shopping trips with her own children.
She said: "Trollies are left in the rain and snow and are usually quite dirty and unpleasant.
"I decided to design some funky seat covers and matching blanket sets to keep little ones safe, clean, comfortable and free from germs."
Look out for Mrs Penn on Dragons Den Online on BBC2 at 9.30pm on Wednesday, September 16.
The Cosy Shopper is available to buy at www.thecosyshopper.co.uk.
