Hemel Hempstead church transformed for flower festival
MCHG 12-765 Flower Festival at St.John's Church, Boxmoor, Hemel Hempstead. The Rev.James Reveley and Dacorum Mayor Bert Chapman with some of the flower arrangers.
St John’s Church in Boxmoor was transformed by an array of colour at its biennial flower festival.
The displays showed the cycle of the year.
To the left of the entrance, flowers symbolised New Year’s Day. There was a display for every part of the year following the church wall around the building, up until New Year’s Eve to the right of its entrance.
The arrangements included Olympics – Going for Gold, pictured with its creator Sue Brown.
Rev James Rev Reveley said: “We are delighted that some of the very best local flower arrangers have come together to beautify this church and make this festival possible.

“Our sincere thanks to them, and to Catherine Holness and Sue Brown for masterminding the event.”
